NEW YORK -- Broadway shows were hoping to rebound from shutouts at the Tonys. The revival of “Godspell” didn’t have any Tony nominations but did get to stage a performance number on the CBS telecast, and the producer Ken Davenport said on Monday that he hoped that visibility would yield more ticket sales. “Godspell” has been struggling; last week the show grossed its lowest amount, $156,437, since performances began in October. Mr. Davenport, who had said he would close the musical on June 24 if ticket sales did not pick up, said on Monday that he would make a decision on a closing notice soon. [link]
